Carroll K. Michener and family papers, 1858-1970.

Correspondence, literary manuscripts, genealogies, and other papers of Michener, a Minneapolis journalist and author. Letters and a diary (1911-1913) describe his Pacific voyages and his work as a reporter in Hawaii and the Orient. Later correspondence reflects his work on the editorial staffs of the Bellman (1917-1919) and the Northwestern Miller (1919-1957) and his participation in Minneapolis business, social, and cultural life.
